UDOT Fremont River Bridge Work on SR-24
Project Overview
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will begin constructing a new bridge on State Route 24 (SR-24) over the Fremont River in Wayne County, Utah beginning as early as September 6. The new bridge will replace the aging bridge, accommodate local and tourist traffic, and address large storm events. Motorists can expect construction activity Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The contractor will use one-way traffic flagging, or temporary signals, when necessary for some activities but will leave one lane in each direction open when they can safely do so.
Anticipated Impacts
Short-term travel delays
Speed limit reductions in work zones
Lane closures with temporary traffic signals or flaggers
Width restrictions *Dates are subject to change due to weather, equipment availability or other circumstances
